TwinCAT S7 Communication
TwinCAT 3 bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Anbindung von TCP/IP-basierten Drittanbietersystemen an das Steuerungsprogramm: OPC UA, MQTT, HTTPS und Modbus sind nur einige prominente Vertreter einer ganzen Reihe von Kommunikationsprotokollen. Dieses breite Spektrum wird mit der Function TwinCAT S7 Communication durch das S7-Kommunikationsprotokoll erweitert.
Mithilfe dieser Produktimplementierung können Variablen einer S7-Steuerung ausgelesen bzw. geschrieben werden. Dies erfolgt direkt aus dem SPS-Anwendungsprogramm heraus – entweder über dynamisch parametrierbare SPS-Funktionsbausteine oder über ein einfach zu konfigurierendes I/O-Mapping. Eine zusätzliche Hardware ist nicht erforderlich; als Transportmedium dient das lokale Netzwerk über TCP/IP.
