Beckhoff will present its PC- and EtherCAT-based automation solutions at Intec 2011, the 13th International trade fair for manufacturing, tool and special-purpose machine construction. The spotlight will be on EtherCAT-based, highly dynamic drive solutions ranging from the compact AX5000 Servo Drive to servo terminals and the TwinCAT 3 software generation.

A complete range for all important types of signals is available in the EtherCAT Terminals in protection class IP 20. The innovative Beckhoff EL7201 servo terminal integrates a complete servo drive in a standard terminal housing.

The modules from the IP 67 series with direct EtherCAT interface are being systematically supplemented by new products. The new EtherCAT Box modules feature 16 channels, resulting in a significant reduction of cabling effort and costs. EtherCAT Drives
The AX5000 EtherCAT Drive series rounds off the PC-based control system from Beckhoff. This range of products for highly dynamic positioning tasks is designed for rated currents of up to 170 A and is supplemented by a wide range of servomotors. TwinCAT 3 is the PC-based control software, with which the standard automation world is extended considerably. In addition to the object oriented IEC 61131-3 extensions, the languages of the IT world are available in C and C++. The integration of Matlab®/Simulink® enables the application in scientific fields.
